We have ArcMap (both 9.3.1 and 10) installed on computers in my school, so I revised the instructions slightly to use ArcMap instead of AEJEE. I also opened up all the AEJEE layers and saved them as an ArcMap project, which was pretty easy.
I found this chapter to be a bit tough for students. Part of the problem was balky laptops running wirelessly; layers were slow to load. Students grasped the idea of convergent boundaries causing tsunamis more often, but perhaps didn't connect the DEM data to tsunami runup as well as I would like.
