1. What does your map show? Please briefly describe it.
My map shows the location of earthquakes with a
magnitude of 7 or higher. It shows their location in
relation to the plate boundaries around the world.
2. What GIS data are you interested in having your students investigate?
I would like my students to investigate the location,
magnitude and depth of major earthquakes that have
occurred in the United States.
3. What GIS analysis techniques are you considering using with students?
I plan to show the plate boundaries, earthquake depth,
and magnitudes of the major U.S. earthquakes. I would
also like to show the location of the major faults in
the U.S.
4. What lingering questions (if any) do you have from today's workshop?
