1. My map shows the lines of longitude and latitude, boundaries, and I also chose to show mine in the layout view for grade 5. I included a scale (miles) and a compass rose for directional reasons. Students at this level require these tools to better help them understand and I familiarized myself with these tools to better plan lessons at that grade level.

2. Data that could be incorporated is, quite possibly, endless. Since we are looking at earthquakes and I noticed someone posted tornadoes on their map, I guess we might look at weather patterns also.

4. My lingering questions-
a)Could an approximate time needed for downloading needed information be given when an email is posted or in the Getting Ready for Workshop section? I spent a few hours gettig ready and found I still was ill-prepared.
b)Is this just a matter of familiarizing oneself with the software?
