Students in a General Chemistry course perform better on a post-course conceptual survey if they have Learning Assistants in the course than if they do not. Pre-test scores for students with and without LAs are similar (~38%). Histograms show student pre and post scores in Fall 2009 (LAs used in the course); arrows above the histograms indicate average post-scores for students without LAs (Fall 2007), students with LAs (Fall 2009), LAs, and TAs for this course.
