Soil production rates versus soil thickness

Soil production rates from in situ produced 10Be are plotted for sample locations across the field site. The soil production function defined by these data show a maximum soil production rate of about 200 m/Ma, which corresponds to the transition from soil to rock dominated landscapes as shown by the figure above.
