Figure 2. Diagrammatic sketch adapted from Bradley and Griggs (1976). Bradley and Griggs (1976) is the first published reference to illustrate that only a marine platform formed during the rise to a sea level high stand on a coast that is uplifting (represented by the time period when the curves intersect) can be subsequently preserved as an uplifted marine terrace.
