Program Assessment Instruments

Prior to the 2009 workshop on Assessing Geoscience Programs: Theory and Practice, we asked workshop participants to share instruments their departments use to assess their programs, along with information on the design, use and impact of the instruments. Alumni Surveys

Several participants (Dirk Baron, Nelson Ham, Cathy Summa, and Leila Gonzales) at the 2009 workshop on Assessing Geoscience Programs compiled questions from many different geoscience departments into this megalist of Alumni Survey Questions (Excel 25kB Feb24 09), organized by topic.

Student Surveys and Exit Interviews

Several participants (Bill Hart, George Kipphut, Al McGrew, and LeeAnn Srogi) at the 2009 workshop on Assessing Geoscience Programs sorted questions from many different geoscience departments to construct this list of Categories of Questions for Exit Surveys (Microsoft Word 49kB May13 09).
