Michelle has been active in encouraging geology education throughout her life.
Currently she is employed at Dakota College at Bottineau in North Dakota, teaching a variety of Geoscience focused classes:

Before moving to North Dakota in 2023, Michelle spent 20 years teaching elementary and middle school Earth Science and STEM programs through the public school system.
