Rio Salado College

Currently I teach pre-service teachers at Rio Salado College in Tempe, Arizona. The program is web based with in-person elements. The teacher certification program is designed to award teaching certification at the end of the post- baccalaureate program. I have been teaching for Rio Salado as adjunct faculty for nearly 12 years. The program has evolved over the years and I have supervised student teachers, revised courses, facilitated and developed seminars. I am also an associate professor in psychology for Ashford University. I have a Masters of Arts in Education from Saint Xavier University in Chicago.  I also hold a teaching credential for the University of California, Riverside.  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from Defiance College in Ohio.  Additionally I teach ninth grade science at a local high school.

Before moving to Arizona, I taught fifth grade science in Glencoe, Illinois, and was the science staff developer at Val Verde Unified School District in Perris, California. Prior to teaching, I was an officer in the United States Air Force.
