NSF is soliciting applications for the GRFP until the posted deadlines in late October and early November 2014. Since 1952, GRFP has provided Fellowships to individuals selected early in their graduate careers based on their demonstrated potential for significant achievements in science and engineering. Three years of support is provided by the program for graduate study in science or engineering and leads to a research-based master's or doctoral degree. The NSF expects to award 2,000 Graduate Research Fellowships under this program solicitation pending availability of funds.]]> Thu, 11 Sep 2014 00:00:00 -0500 http://nagt.org/nagt/news/90504.html Seeking Volunteers for the NAGT Booth at GSA http://nagt.org/nagt/news/90510.html
This is a great way to meet other NAGT members from around the country and sharing your excitement about geoscience education is really critical to helping bring new members on board. If you've never volunteered at the booth before, it's so easy! And there will be experienced NAGT officers and staff on hand so newbies won't be thrown in the deep end.

If you have even a little time you can give to representing NAGT, please contact Krista Herbstrith (kherbstr at carleton.edu) in the Executive Director's Office and she can get you on the schedule.

And be sure to check out all of the NAGT and education activities going on at GSA - http://nagt.org/nagt/profdev/GSA14.html]]>
