How ASCN Can Contribute to my Work

I have been engaged in investigations of institutional change for almost twenty years now. Over time, I have found that personal interactions with individuals, and making connections across sectors and fields is the best way to make progress. Although I work mostly in K-12 education, the work conducted in health, business and higher education has informed our work enormously and I expect will continue to do so.

How I Can Contribute to ASCN

I and my colleagues have spent a great deal of time focused on systematic approaches to discussing and studying sustainable, institutional-level change. We recently completed a piece for the Review of Research in Education focused on implementation research that enabled us to get an even longer-term view of the efforts others have put forward, where overlaps exist, and how we can come to some common ground within and across fields. I bring a strong orientation toward reconciling different points of view and understanding how they are similar and different.
