What are, to you, the key issues in creating learning resources that support your teaching style and your student's learning styles?

At this point there isn't a textbook that meets the needs of my students or their learning styles.

What is your vision for the "textbook" of the future and what impediments do you see to realizing that vision?

I believe an interactive website with simulations, up-to-date data and that has been fully vetted would work for courses in the Earth Sciences.

Describe briefly any research you have undertaken on teaching or learning.

I'm a practioner of teaching and learning with informal research to back up what I preceive as best practices.

Have you created publicly accessible learning resources?

How would you like to contribute to the workshop?

I would like to add the educator's perspective on how the "textbook" interface may actually be implemented.

What would you like to take away from the workshop?

I look forward to hearing the great ideas others may have and see where technology can take us in delivering an up-to-date cutting edge curriculum.
