Significant Floods in the United States During the 20th Century

This website offers general and historical information concerning catastrophic floods in the United States. It includes USGS flood measurement techniques, an accompanying map and table locating and describing 32 of the most significant floods of the 20th century, and information on regional, flash, ice-jam, storm-surge, dam and levee-failure, debris, landslide, and mudflow floods. It also provides links to reports and journal articles, abstracts, fact sheets, and press releases.
