Meghan L. Cook

Meghan Cook is the Associate Director of STEM Initiatives in the Teaching and Learning Center at Drexel University and an Affiliate Faculty member in the Department of Earth Sciences at Binghamton University, State University of New York. She serves as a Councilor on the Executive Council of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) and as Chair of the Outstanding Earth Science Teacher (OEST) Award Committee. She is also a past Chair of the Professional Development Committee of the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education. Meghan has taught Earth science and geology courses for more than a decade and continues to teach geoscience courses periodically while advancing faculty development and educational innovation efforts in her current role.

Meghan's research and professional interests center on supporting faculty, students, and institutions through inclusive and effective teaching practices. Her current work includes investigating interventions that foster students' sense of belonging in STEM, developing accessible and inclusive field experiences, exploring the use of virtual and immersive technologies in geoscience education, designing faculty development programs that promote evidence-based and inclusive teaching practices, and advancing student-faculty partnerships that support teaching and learning.

At Drexel, she leads and supports initiatives that strengthen faculty development, course redesign, student success, and instructional innovation, including institution-wide efforts related to first-year student learning and engagement. Meghan regularly presents and publishes on topics related to STEM education, inclusive teaching, faculty development, and educational innovation.
