Louise Wrensford
Albany State University
Dr. Louise Wrensford currently serves as the Associate Provost for Research and Sponsored Programs and Graduate Dean at Albany State University, Albany Georgia. Prior to this she served as Chairperson of the Department of Natural Sciences at the institution for seven years.
Dr. Wrensford is a tenured professor of chemistry and continues to teach the biochemistry course at the institution. Her current interests include leading curricula transformation efforts in the STEM curriculum to improve student engagement and retention and in supporting and assisting faculty in building their research efforts at the institution through strategic partnerships and internal and external collaborations as well as assistance in securing necessary funding.
Dr. Wrensford earned her B.S. Degree in Chemistry with Physics from The University of the Virgin Islands, USVI, and her Ph.D. from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
