Olga Pierrakos

Olga Pierrakos is currently a Program Officer in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation which is in the Directorate of Education and Human Resources. Olga is also a founding faculty member and associate professor of the Department of Engineering Education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Her scholarly areas of expertise include diversity and inclusion, sustainable design, cardiovascular fluid mechanics, active learning pedagogies, engineering identity, motivation of student learners, faculty engagement, assessment, mixed-methods approaches, sustainable energy systems, etc. Olga and her husband have three amazing boys, who she cannot get enough of.
