Dawn Mooney Digrius, PhD currently serves as Senior Project Manager for the CSU STEM Collaboratives Project. Funded by the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, this project works to increase diversity in STEM Education, to close achievement gaps, and foster persistence in STEM by underrepresented minorities. Prior to coming to the California State University, Office of the Chancellor, Mooney Digrius was Assistant Professor of History/History of Science in the College of Arts & Letters, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. Mooney Digrius conducts research on water resources management, agriculture, and sustainability in Latin America and has overseen international research projects that bring multi-stakeholder partnerships together that provide real-world experience in working toward global solutions for challenges such as food scarcity, water access, and climate change. Mooney Digrius was an active member and main representative of the International Health Awareness Netowrk, a 501(c)3 organization affiliated with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, where she has presented on topics such as Women and Sustainable Development, Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development, and Rural Agriculture and Sustainable Development.
