Candidate for NAGT Eastern Section Vice President

2025-2027

I am a 7th grade Earth and Space Science Teacher at the Elizabeth Forward School District, and have been teaching Earth and Space for over 26 years. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1991, with a certificate in Earth and Space Science.  

I have been involved with the Eastern Section since my first meeting in 2011 in Johnstown, PA.   I joined NAGT 2 years after that and have attended 10 of the last 12 Eastern Section conferences. In 2014 I was named Pennsylvania OEST. 

In 2016 I hosted the section conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in 2025 I hosted the section conference in Erie, PA.

I am currently the Eastern Section Vice President and held the office of President from 2016-2017.

I feel my involvement in NAGT helps me to better understand the needs of the organization, and by having a clearer understanding of those needs, I can help to set goals to further the mission of the organization.
