Ted Scheinman

Mt. Hood Community College

Ted Scheinman has taught economics for over 39 years, the last 36 at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon.  He has been involved with the Oregon Council on Economic Education and the Council for Economic Education to improve the teaching of economics at the K-12 grades.  For OCEE, he has conducted more than 50 workshops involving more than 700 teachers, using materials from the Council for Economic Education.  He has also been active the the Economic Education section of the American Economics Association.

When not "economizing," Ted Scheinman leads cross country ski tours for the Oregon Nordic Club.  Some of the major destinations he has led groups of skiers are: Crater Lake National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, Canadian Rockies, and Norway.  He also leads weekend trips to various mountain areas in Oregon and Washington.
