Gui Aksit

Gui Guenther Aksit is currently a Visiting Assitant Professor, incoming Assistant Professor, of Structural Geology & Geophysics at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. Gui has a BA in Anthropology from Ohio University, a BS in Earth & Space Science from the University or Washington, and a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences: Volcanology from the University of Oregon. Gui's research focus is on controls of magma transport in the shallow crust at stratovolcanoes, and the rheology of rhyolitic magma.
