Jonathan Griffith

<p class="MsoNormal">Jon Griffith is an education and outreach associate with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder. Jon has spent much of the last two years developing educational resources to connect K-12 classrooms to the 2019-2020 MOSAiC Arctic research expedition. His work has recently been featured in NSTA’s March/April 2021 Science Scope magazine. In addition to his work as a curriculum developer, Jon is a professional learning facilitator for OpenSciEd, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting educators with high-quality, freely available science instructional materials. Prior to his work as a curriculum developer and facilitator, Jon spent ten years in Flagstaff, AZ first as a graduate student studying climate science and then as an middle school educator.
