Raising the Bar...the Oyster Bar! Engaging Students with NOAA's Three-Dimensional Oyster Learning Sequence

Molly Harrison, Coordinator for the NOAA Planet Stewards Education Project, and Bart Merrick, Education Coordinator for NOAA's Chesapeake Bay Office Environmental Training Center, share NOAA's Three-Dimensional Oyster Learning Sequence. Oysters aren't just slimy critters in shells...they are ambassadors engaging elementary students in three-dimensional learning. Join NOAA in an exploration of the Eastern Oyster through core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts. Dive into individual lessons from the Oysters in the Chesapeake Bay learning sequence for students in grades K-5.

In case you missed it, watch the video from the presentation. You can still earn one contact hour of professional development if you contribute below to the online discussion about the presentation.
