Background Information
I received my PhD from UNC Chapel Hill in 1990 and is an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Education. I'm currently interested in how the physics profession has taken a serious look at how their subject is taught and has made many reforms as a result. I'm quite impressed at how they've combined research from cognitive science with careful empirical work on how their students learn. They can clearly demonstrate improved learning from their students. A summary of what I've found is at
