Background Information
Jennifer is a graduate student in Physics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is working with Ken Heller and the Physics Education Research Group to develop and validate a physics problem solving assessment rubric. She is also studying gender differences in performance on physics concept exams. She regularly presents at local and national meetings of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) and at the Physics Education Research Conference (PERC). This year she is also presenting at the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) annual conference.While in Minnesota, Jennifer has acquired expertise in: Context-Rich Problems, Cooperative Group Problem Solving, Problem Solving Laboratory curricula, and professional development for Teaching Assistants.
