8:45 - 10:15 am Panel Discussion--Culturally relevant Pan-African Pedagogy - Cynthia Hewitt, Ethell Vereen, and Kipton Jensen

  • 3, 10 minute presentations that frame culturally relevant pedagogy with 5 minutes of questions followed by 30 minutes of round table discussion on what is important to culturally relevant Pan-African pedagogy. Then 15 minutes for report out and whole group synthesis

1:45 - 2:15 pm Instructions for setting goals and developing an outline - Barb Tewksbury

2:15 - 4:30 pm Work in teams--Setting goals for a teaching module using Geoscience and Pan-African pedagogy and developing an outline. This time includes consulting time with participants (potentially identified prior to workshop) with different perspective

2:30 - 2:45 pm Interim report out and request for consultation
