What are, to you, the key issues in creating learning resources that support your teaching style and your student's learning styles?

Making sure there are multiple avenues to learn the same material - both constructive and instructional

What is your vision for the "textbook" of the future and what impediments do you see to realizing that vision?

Multimedia with realtime feedback and hands-on component (Klutzbook style)

Describe briefly any research you have undertaken on teaching or learning.

I run a Center on Engineering Education - with 8 graduate students in education - looking at how teachers learn engineering differently from kids, boys from girls, problem solving versus worksheets, the influence of teacher self-efficacy in adopting engineering in the classroom, etc.

Have you created publicly accessible learning resources?

http://www.ceeo.tufts.edu - and working on www.legoengineering.com (available June 2006).

How would you like to contribute to the workshop?

I can share the hands-on project-based teaching experiences I have helped develop.

What would you like to take away from the workshop?

New ideas of different avenues we can take
