What are, to you, the key issues in creating learning resources that support your teaching style and your student's learning styles?
Could use some more cognitive learning studies, but it seems mostly to come down to trial and error with various approaches and materials.
What is your vision for the "textbook" of the future and what impediments do you see to realizing that vision? Web materials that students can easily search and compile and then describe/summarize in their own words or images.
Describe briefly any research you have undertaken on teaching or learning. Creation of and experimentation with animations, how to help students play/learn with them, and how to combine them with still images of landscapes and concepts, always surrounded by spoken and written words.
Have you created publicly accessible learning resources? Downloadable animations from
http://emvc.geol.ucsb.edu
How would you like to contribute to the workshop? http://emvc.geol.ucsb.edu
Have been invited to be a catalyst speaker
What would you like to take away from the workshop? Understanding of what we should package with animations to make them as useful as possible.
