InTeGrate module author Sarah Fortner and her students at Wittenberg College made the news recently for their work to fight storm water runoff in Springfield, OH.

Professor Fortner, a co-author on InTeGrate's Sustainable Agriculture module, is working with her geology students and the city of Springfield to find creative solutions to the city's storm water runoff problem. Through this collaboration, Fortner and her students are starting a rain garden project to not only keep pollutants out of area rivers and streams, but also save the city money. For more details, see WYSO's audio interview with Professor Fortner. Congratulations to Professor Fortner and her students on finding creative solutions to environmental challenges in their local community!
