Building Strong Geoscience Departments Visiting Workshop Program

The Building Strong Geoscience Departments project is launching a Visiting Workshop Program. In collaboration with NAGT, we offer a menu of interactive sessions distilling the lessons learned from our previous workshops and fully supported with online resources. Selected departments will be able to choose topics of high interest from our areas of expertise. Two of our workshop leaders will work with each department to develop a program of presentations, discussions, and action planning for that department. The program will feature concrete examples drawn from the leaders' experience and from the collective experiences of the geoscience community. All workshops will also incorporate information on building departmental consensus and assessing departmental efforts. The first set of acceptances will be based on applications received on or before September 16. The next set will be considered November 16; applications not accepted in the first round will be considered again in the second round.
