African University Teams at SSI 2002

Through a grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) under the University Cooperation in Development Programs, the SENCER Summer Institute will host four teams of faculty and administrators from African universities interested in adopting the SENCER model courses and ideals. The teams selected for participation include Sokione University of Agriculture in Tanzania, and Maseno University, Kenyatta University, Egerton University, from Kenya and Tanzania. The African teams will participate in all aspects of the Institute and are looking forward to meeting colleagues who may want to partner on a variety of projects and initiatives. The Vice Chancellor of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Professor Ratemo Michieka and Professor Debra Meyer of Rand Afrikaans University, will also attend, serving as a members of the SSI-2002 faculty.
