On Wednesday, March 26th from 3-4pm Eastern Standard Time, the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) will sponsor a free live webinar, hosted by Carnegie Learning, called "Mathematical Modeling in Three Acts." Presenters Dan Meyer, Dr. Eric Milou, and Dr. Gwendolyn Zimmermann note in their webinar description that they "find modeling with mathematics to be one of the most misunderstood practice standards." During the webinar, they will "briefly examine what modeling is and what it isn't," and will "describe a method for doing and teaching modeling that draws on digital media and plays out over three acts." They will also address potential implementation challenges.

Those interested in learning more about mathematical modeling and its implementation into the classroom can register for the webinar here.
