SENCER Presentation Featured at HACU Meeting

This past weekend, representatives from SENCER presented during the 26th annual Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) meeting in Washington, DC.

The workshop, titled "Making Science Education Real, Relevant and Effective: A Leadership Imperative," was led by Tomás Morales, president of California State University San Bernardino; David Ferguson, Distinguished Service Professor of Technology and Society and Applied Mathematics and Statistics; David Burns, SENCER PI; and Danielle Kraus Tarka, SENCER associate director. The workshop introduced educators and students from around the country to the SENCER approach and included small group discussions about which civic topics important to participants might provide opportunities to convey STEM content to students.
