BioScience Features SENCER Methods and Success


The current issue of BioScience highlights SENCER's effectiveness and approach of making courses and programs real, relevant, rigorous, and responsible. Bioscience, a publication of the American Institute of Biological Sciences, quarterly features profiles on successful education practices and programs. The column, "Making Biology Relevant to Undergraduates," also profiles two professors, Terry McGuire of Rutgers University (pictured) and Penny Bernstein of Kent State University at Stark, and the positive changes they have seen in student performance and interest after adopting SENCER methods in their genetics and environmental media courses.
