I want to contact employers in my region and develop partnerships that will provide internship and employment opportunities. IS THIS AN ISSUE?

What are the actions you will take to make this happen?

Develop a list of all government agencies and private companies in our region that hire geoscientists. Make initial contact with these organizations and inform them of the new Physical Science Technology curriculum offered at the community college. Develop partnerships with the organizations that will provide internship and employment opportunities to our students. Organize a "career fair" including these organizations which allows students to see opportunities available to them in the geosciences.

Fall 2013

How will you know if you are successful?

I will have exhausted my list of organizations and have a POC at each organization or have deleted them from my list. I will have successfully organized a "career fair" at the college and have partnered with organizations that will provide internship and employment opportunities.
