I'm not sure whether there is a bug in the Content Management System that causes this ...
The applet does not always display properly in Firefox on my Windows XP machine. However, if I follow the link to the original applet page offered by my own server, it does display properly in my Firefox browser. Could it be a problem with the html tag generated by the CMS?
