This online geology lab has students work with a simulated earthquake event. Students determine the epicenter using P-S travel times and compute the Richter magnitude of the quake by measuring the maximum amplitude of the waves at the various stations. Students are able to generate and print a Certificate of Completion after finishing the lab which shows the result of their work.
