This portal provides information on the hazards presented to the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the United States by hurricanes. A fact sheet summarizes some of the destructive effects and describes some of the more recent damaging storms. Other links direct site visitors to highlighted resources describing the extent and causes of coastal impacts of hurricanes, impacts on wetlands, coastal changes, and educational resources on hurricanes. There are also links to hurricane monitoring and prediction websites.
