Elizabeth Katt-Reinders, Earthwatch Radio Series

As the Earth grows warmer on average, Europe may actually become colder. This radio broadcast explains how global warming is causing glaciers to melt and more rain and snow to fall in areas lke Greenland. This, in turn, could cause ocean waters in that region to become fresher, disrupting North Atlantic Ocean currents. The possible result could be a rather sudden change in climates in North Atlantic countries such as Norway and England, in which winters become colder with more snowfall. The clip is 2 minutes in length.
