e-Guide to Paleoclimates
http://www.jhu.edu/~eps/paleoguide/index.html

The Johns Hopkins University

This guide provides information about Earth's climate as it has existed through geological time. Its sections explore the world's climate zones and principle drivers of climate; known climate variations over timescales ranging from annual to more than 100 million years; and provide a 'tour' of climates of the past, Earth's greenhouse-icehouse modes, orbitally forced climates and climate extremes. There is also an archive that provides access to major proxy databases used in modern paleoclimate analysis (continental, marine, and cryosphere) and a set of online tutorials that introduce topics addressed in paleoclimatological research, such as solar irradiance, Earth's zonal energy flow, the Gaia hypothesis of climate, and wavelet analysis of paleoclimates. A page of additional resources provides an extensive list of links to other sites with related infoemation.
