Crashed on the Moon is a decision-making activity where learners, who have researched the major environmental differences between the earth and our moon, can apply their knowledge to a problem solving scenario. The scenario of the spaceship crash enables learners to explore elements of critical thinking when considering various environmental factors including atmospheric pressure, temperature, weather, gravity, organisms, available oxygen, crustal movements (i.e., earthquakes, volcanoes), etc. The activity allows for creative expression for learners and may also be used to introduce environmental differences on other planets as well.
