TundraCam is a live and interactive webcam located on Niwot Ridge, at an elevation of 11,600 feet in the Colorado Front Range near Boulder, Colorado. It is sponsored by several research units at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Users can control the camera themselves in real time, zooming and panning over an index photo, or they can view pre-selected locations on the landscape. It enables monitoring of factors such as weather conditions, snow drifting and snow-melt patterns, and vegetation changes, as well as viewing of the equipment and facilities used by scientists studying the high-altitude environment, and prominent landscape features like Long's Peak. The site also provides current weather conditions on Niwot Ridge, and explanations of some of the features which are visible in the camera's field of view.
