This Florida news station site contains articles, an audio track, images and animations that illustrate the causes and impacts of soil erosion in Haiti. Of particular interest is an animation that depicts the process and devastating domino-like ecosystem-wide effect of soil erosion caused by deforestation. To watch the slide show, click on "The Problem" on the right hand side of the frame, and then click "About Haiti's Erosion." The site also features informative galleries about Haiti's disappearing forests, the charcoal industry and the scarcity of clean water.
