This is the home site for the Water Environment Federation, WEF. WEF is an international not-for-profit educational and technical organization of more than 40,000 water quality experts. Its mission is to preserve and enhance the global water environment. This site is immense, with information for resource users ranging from the technical expert to elementary students. It offers technical discussion groups, training information and self-test activities for wastewater operations professionals, information on conferences and workshops, careers and opportunities, an on-line bookstore, and government affairs updates. A section for students has pdf files of hands-on K-12 activites from the Water Sourcebook, a book designed for use by teachers, non-formal educators, and water quality professionals, The Water Sourcebook series covers today's most important water environment topics. Spanish curriculum materials are also available.
