Mineral Structure Data
http://ruby.colorado.edu/~smyth/min/minerals.html

Joseph Smyth, University of Colorado at Boulder

This site consists of a compilation of crystallographic and physical property data for most of the rock-forming minerals. Thirteen mineral groups are included: single oxides, multiple oxides, hydroxides, sulfates, phosphates, orthosilicates (neosilicates), sorosilicates and cyclosilicates, chain silicates (inosilicates), sheet silicates (phyllosilicates), framework silicates (tektosilicates), high pressure silicates, halides and sulfides. The data is arranged in tables and accompanied by drawings done with the program XTALDRAW.

This description of a site outside SERC has not been vetted by SERC staff and may be incomplete or incorrect. If you have information we can use to flesh out or correct this record let us know.

Part of the Cutting Edge collection. The NAGT/DLESE On the Cutting Edge project helps geoscience faculty stay up-to-date with both geoscience research and teaching methods.
