This site is the home page for the World Foundation for Environment and Development (WFED), an independent non-governmental organization working to sustain economic development and conservation of the Earth's biological resources. The main page includes a contents menu that provides links to a wealth of information on WFED and its wide variety of projects involving bioprospecting, benefits-sharing agreements, and protection and conservation of biodiversity. The "Projects" heading provides links to descriptions of WFED projects based on location including Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and the United Nations. An "Information Resources" heading provides links to a variety of sources including numerous useful articles and reports, bibliographies, videos for purchase including "Yellowstone Revealed", a glossary of terms, and further internet links.
