Multiple data sets that estimate the source of aerosols over the ocean near the Indian subcontinent were analyzed to see whether the majority of the haze over the Arabian Sea is composed of natural or man-made aerosols. Results suggest that natural airborne particles from Arabia and the Sahara Desert contribute most of the dust, which affects the temperature, sunlight balance and solar energy over the region.
