Dennis Ward, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research

This site is useful for teaching about the effects of air pollution. The site features three levels of use - beginner, intermediate, and advanced – that provide an overview of the causes and effects of air pollution. Topics discussed include atmospheric chemistry, particulate matter, ozone, acid rain, volatile organic compounds, pollution sources, transport pathways, health effects and more. Embedded links provide more information about terms of interest, research results, and related topics such as the interactive Smog City air pollution simulator.
