NASA

NASA's Laboratory for Ocean Color Users is intended to provide a guided pathway to aid in the utilization of ocean color data for oceanographic and environmental research. This site features learning modules and tutorials about what ‘ocean color’ is and how ocean color data are used for the study of physical and biological oceanography. Tutorials provide examples of collaborative research projects presented in a step-by-step fashion, and informed guidance on the implementation of research using the analytical tools and ocean color data available in the Ocean Color Time-Series Project. Topics include sea surface temperature, currents, upwelling and productivity, seasonal variability and climate. The site also features information about the instruments, tools, data products and applications of ocean color analysis.
