This article from the Bozeman Daily Chronicle describes the combined efforts of Gallatin County Commissioners, environmentalists, and homeowners in the Bozeman Pass area to deny J.M. Huber Corp. a permit to drill an exploratory coalbed methane well. This is an interesting example of residents doing battle with energy developers in order to preserve the existing nature of their property and surroundings.
