Prospecting for Gold
Summary
This activity is part of a collection under development by participants in a June 2006 workshop. Tested versions will be available in Spring 2007.
Students design, iimplement and evaluate a prospecting program for potential gold deposits. The students have a exploration budget and a table listing the costs of each type of proposecting activity. They use this to design a program. In the next lab period, they give an oral presentation and hand in a written report on the geology of the region and their recommendations for the next step in development cycle.
